In My Mind ceiling speakers seems like the solution to a perfect surround back, right?
If the speakers in the ceiling where it not would be better to create an environment and its surroundings affect overall effectiveness. Not sure. I've heard a lot of people insulting ceiling speakers much (but remember I'm just thinking in their use for the 4 rear channels. For my last final home entertainment system I was thinking about having four full range electrostatic loudspeakers in the original speaker positions have rear 4 omnidirectional (radial), near full-range speakers, anchored with a stick or something at an angle of 65 degrees to the sweet spot over the electrostats (right turn, not really the typical maximum configuration) with three subwoofers (which is right behind and 2 to both sides) (of course I will have a sub up front with the front speakers). What do you think about this (it seems incredible to me), but type, model or trade name of the omni driver must use to do this. Do you doubt this show, what could I do instead. Thanks ..
In general, it is a standard created for the speakers which is ideal, but there are different rules and there are arguments of Lucas Films THX certification also there are different standards Dolby Pro Logic II Dolby Digital Dolby z etc. .. DTS and there are some other rules that come out of Europe … so that's why he is given a certain freedom what kind of speakers and the guy who can use, I have read several discussions about what is best turned off sound, bi-polar, dipole speakers, the speakers directly at ear and have never heard a definitive answer about which is better, even between 5.1 and 7.1 that there is controversy over which is better … so many times the only way he will know what works for you is try … Definitive Technology makes some ceiling speakers for home theater and Dayton Polk also .. lot will depend on the way to his seat in the room and other variables as to what works best for you.
