The speaker enclosures and crossovers are designed for a specific driver which has a particular response curve. Putting something else in there would likely result in poor spectral linearity.</description>

Car audio speaker are design for very small room (short throw) and home audio for large room (long throw). You will not hear the same sound after you replace the speaker. Home audio speakers have have many improvements from the 80&#039;s, there are allot of speakers in the market now. Consider replacing your old speaker with a new one. Stay with name brands like JBL, Infinity, Polk audio, Definitive Technology, Paradigm, and Boston to name a few. Go online to Home Theater Magazine and read the reviews on speakers.
